UI Designer/Developer
We're looking for a talented, web application UI designer/developer looking for the perfect growth opportunity to use their strong development background and software design skills in a company of 40 employees, growing at a rate of 400% annually.
Your primary role as a key player in delivering customer satisfaction is your ability to apply UI design principles and user-centered design processes to ensure our users are accomplishing their tasks efficiently and effortlessly with our industry-leading ESP software product.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Requirements: gather, analyze and generate user requirements; clearly articulate and present user interface concepts and designs that meet customer's functional and performance requirements using a user-centered design methodology.
- Product Development: collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development process to translate requirements into designs, functional prototypes and implementations to deliver simple, fit-for-purpose and easy to use interfaces.
- Usability Testing: design and develop usability test plans; conduct tests and evaluate results; apply findings to corporate UI design guidance.
Your experience
You have 3+ years of UI design and development experience, having designed and built web applications with a multi-tier application architecture and Oracle database. You are a seasoned professional with an awareness of industry best practices and a strict adherence to quality standards. You inspire your peers with your knowledge of UI design patterns and dedication to building maintainable and extensible applications. You have an ability to balance artistry, aesthetics and usability in the development process.
You are organized, with excellent communication skills and work well both with team and independently within an agile development environment.
Ideally you have experience in ASP.NET, C#, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX and in developing secure web applications. You find user requirements analysis and rapid UI prototyping fun, and love nothing more than functionality analysis and usability testing.
